Las Vegas Reunion

Sunday 2nd November, 2104

We have been very busy these past couple of weeks.  We stopped in Las Vegas for a week long Kirkwood sibling reunion.

The “Strip” in Vegas looks the same as always. Gazillions of people.

There is something for everyone.  This place looked very popular.

Not quite up to the real one in Paris, but probably lit up more.

Some of the group took a trip to Hoover Dam.

They enjoyed the tour of the dam including the tunnels underneath.

This wall is holding back a WHOLE lot of water.

A controlled trickle.

Some of the group rented bodacious motorbikes.

Minita, the baby of the siblings even had her own bike.

A trip to Red Rock Canyon for a bit of hiking was very popular.

Everyone loved the RED ROCKS.

We persuaded some family to pose in our favorite tree.

Those striped and spotted rocks never fail to impress.

The condo pool got plenty of activity.

A trip to Old Town Las Vegas was a lot of fun.

This restaurant was packed.  They have a large scale outside the door, and if you choose to step on it your weight is displayed in huge LED lights.

You wear a hospital gown to eat and the wait staff are dressed as nurses.

There were lots of entertainers.

A wonderful time was had by all.  I love you brothers and sisters.

Great post! We probably just missed you guys. We stayed in Zion for a week with Tom & Donna. Did a few hikes. Great weather. Then we headed over the Hoover dam (should have stopped to see all that you guys saw. We just sailed over that high bridge in one of your pics). We just got into Mexico and staying at a super little RV place in Santa Ana. Edgar and Ana are the owners/hosts. They are soooooo nice! There are 4 RV’s here and we are full. One guy has been staying here every year since 1972 on his way down to his place further south. It was just 200 pesos ($17.00) for the night with full hookups and great WIFI. Tomorrow we are off to San Carlos. Cheers, Tom & Jan
