Can it be December already? Time flies when you’re having fun. We took a trip to the local Botanical Garden which means cactus in Arizona. These burly beasts are called Montrose Totem Poles.
A lovely display of Golden Barrels.
Even the fruit on this Prickly Pear has clusters of fine thorns. Touching one of these puppies has painful consequences. Don’t ask how I know!
A different type of Prickly Pear. At least the thorns on the pads are easy to see.
This Teddy Bear cactus has really pretty fruit.
We decided to try an overnighter in the car. Dean took the back seats out making a nice sleeping area. A couple of air mattresses and our baby camper was set to go.
A great evening in the campground. Dean got to play with fire and we watched caveman TV. Other than Dean’s air mattress going flat we had a pretty comfy night. I did anyway.
We ticked off another National Park off our list after a visit to Tonto National Monument. These cliff dwellings are at least 700 years old.
The dry climate has helped preserve these interesting dwellings. It was a long hike down the hill to a tiny spring.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving Day. I picked some lemons and foliage from our neighbors tree to decorate the table.
Great friends and plenty to eat and drink. What more could we ask for.
Our friend Donna is giving Dean a lesson in French braiding.
One of these days he will be able to manage this!
Good ole Arizona! To many cacti we like the green stuff along with the humidity . Looks like a good time though. See you soon
well looks like a great hike in tonto park & how is Dean doing with the french braiding???
Donna the french braiding is a still bit beyond Dean. He needs more training.
Hi guys Great blog again. Nice to see Tom & Donna as well. We were with Keith & Sandy for dinner last night. They are staying at a resort close to us here in Puerto Vallarta. We are here for a week before we drive the car back to Mazatlan to pick up the RV and drive to Phoenix. We had a super stay on Stone Island at Mazatlan. We will tell you all about it when we next see you. We are leaving our rig in Phoenix when we fly to Calgary for Christmas. Does the resort where you are now staying have RV storage, and if so, could you find out the cost for storing our unit for the period from Dec 16 to Jan 6? Thanks. We may see you soon.
